Shared expertise to train the next generation
Airmedic and Cégep de Chicoutimi are launching an air medical transport training program. It is now offered at the Humanis Center.
Trainers from both organizations will share the teaching of theoretical and practical courses. Airmedic provides the necessary medical devices and equipment. This ensures high standards of practical training. The company aims to ensure quality care in close collaboration with the training center.
A partnership based on quality and commitment
Cégep de Chicoutimi stands out for its solid expertise in health care. It offers seven programs related to this field, making it an important player in Quebec’s college network. This experience contributes to the training of competent and well-prepared professionals.
For its part, Airmedic affirms that this training represents a key step in the professionalization of air medical transport in Quebec. Its goal is to integrate helicopter services into the network on a long-term basis.
A shared vision for the future of airborne care
Manon Chapdeleine, director of the Humanis Continuing Education Center at Cégep de Chicoutimi, says she is proud of this alliance. She believes that combining the expertise of Quebec’s leader in interhospital airborne medical transport, Airmedic, with the experience of their trainers is a winning formula.
For our part, having training in air medical transport is another step toward professionalizing our service. We intend to make Quebec a prime location for the integration of helicopter services into the public healthcare system.
Finally, Airmedic emphasizes that this initiative has special significance. It was in Saguenay that the Airmedic adventure began. This partnership therefore marks a meaningful return to our roots and a sign of our loyalty to the region.
