Emergency response plan: why a simulation is essential
Drills and emergency evacuation simulations are the most concrete and effective ways to test your emergency response plan. They help prepare your teams before a real incident occurs. For this reason, several times a year, Airmedic takes part in and integrates with exercises organized by various companies.
Our service

We support the company through the key stages of the simulation to ensure a realistic and organized experience.
It all starts with guidance in choosing the scenario and its execution. At this stage, our team works with you to define the objectives and context of the exercise.
During the simulation, an observation team is on-site to record reactions, strengths, and areas for improvement. Calls are also handled in real time by our coordination center, increasing the exercise’s validity .
The actual deployment of the aircraft and medical teams adds a crucial level of realism. Participants can witness Airmedic’s true operational dynamics. Patient care is delivered as in a real incident, allowing internal responders to test their reaction capabilities.
After the simulation, we conduct a debrief with the involved teams. This analysis allows discussion of successes, gaps, and improvement opportunities. Finally, a detailed observation report with concrete recommendations is provided to the company to enhance future interventions.
The experience
Airmedic’s emergency simulations allow you to verify whether your emergency response plan is well integrated by your employees. This experience lets them see the speed of intervention and quality of care they can expect while being protected by Airmedic’s services.
Here is feedback from a health and safety officer who recently organized a simulation involving the helicopter within her company:
“Even when we think we have everything in place, this simulation showed that in reality, we are never 100% in control. There is always room for improvement. Practicing these scenarios in advance gives us a head start. The simulation adds real value: it’s better to test it than to wait for a real accident to adjust. Thanks to this exercise, our team and procedures are now stronger. Definitely worth it.” – Émilie
