From June 15 to 18, dozens of physicians, respiratory therapists, nurses, and pilots will collaborate to deliver healthcare that meets the highest quality standards.<\/p>\n<p><i>&#8221; <\/i><em>We are proud of the trust the Montr\u00e9al Grand Prix organization and H\u00f4pital du Sacr\u00e9-C\u0153ur place in us. It also underscores our expertise and professionalism, <\/em> \u201d said Sophie Larochelle, Chief Executive Officer of Airmedic.<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cThe trauma team at H\u00f4pital du Sacr\u00e9-C\u0153ur-de-Montr\u00e9al has been providing medical care at the Formula 1 <span class=\"xn-location\">Canadian <\/span>Grand Prix for more than 30 years. <\/i>We know we can rely on highly qualified experts to carry out a medical evacuation if an accident occurs,\u201d said Dr. Ronald Denis, Medical Director of the Trauma Program at H\u00f4pital du Sacr\u00e9-C\u0153ur-de-Montr\u00e9al.<\/p>\n<h3 data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">A Strategic Setup for Helicopter Medical Transport<\/h3>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/www.airmedic.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Credit-3-jfsavaria-822x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Helicopter medical transport Formula 1 Grand Prix of Montreal\" width=\"822\" height=\"1024\" \/><\/p>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">Two <a href=\"https:\/\/global.kawasaki.com\/en\/mobility\/air\/helicopters\/c_2_h.html?wovn=fr\">BK117<\/a> helicopters from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.airmedic.net\/en\/fleet-and-team\/\">Airmedic\u2019s fleet<\/a> will be dedicated to the event. At all times, one helicopter will remain stationed on the helipad near the track hospital. The second, positioned at Mare au Diable, will be ready for a simultaneous second evacuation if required. This constant presence is part of an emergency plan developed jointly by the three partners, demonstrating the seriousness and commitment of each organization.<\/p>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">In addition, five intensive simulations and training sessions were held to familiarize the trauma team with Airmedic\u2019s aircraft and strengthen their in-flight skills. Through this preparation, rapid and safe patient evacuation becomes a concrete reality. This type of collaboration clearly demonstrates how essential helicopter medical transport is during international sporting events.<\/p>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">According to FIA requirements, an emergency helicopter service must be fully functional and available at all times. Without this aerial medical coverage, the race cannot take place. Therefore, this requirement reinforces the importance of the Qu\u00e9bec government\u2019s initiative to establish a structured network of specialized air care accessible to the entire population.
