The company acts as a complementary service provider for the Government of Quebec under the scheduled aeromedical evacuation contract for the Abitibi-T\u00e9miscamingue, Nord-du-Qu\u00e9bec, and Cree Territory of James Bay health regions. <\/span><\/p>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">Thus, the government air service of the Ministry of Transport signed this agreement with Airmedic. The contract lasts one year and may be renewed for three additional years. In this way, it supports the mission of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chudequebec.ca\/professionnels-de-la-sante\/programmes-et-cliniques\/evacuations-aeromedicales-du-quebec-evaq-1.aspx\">Quebec Aeromedical Evacuation Program (\u00c9VAQ)<\/a>, <span data-contrast=\"auto\">managed by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chudequebec.ca\/accueil.aspx\">CHU de Qu\u00e9bec\u2013Universit\u00e9 Laval<\/a><\/span>. This program improves access to specialized and superspecialized care for remote populations.<\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cDuring the public tender, we were evaluated through a rigorous process. Indeed, we completed a full audit covering both aviation and medical criteria. Following this evaluation, the government selected us. Thus, we meet the required standards for quality air medical transport,\u201d says Louis-Philippe Loiselle Fortier, Vice President of Clinical Services and Strategic Initiatives at Airmedic. \u201cWe are pleased that our capabilities complement government operations. Indeed, we share a common vision, performance objectives, and a patient-centered approach focused on quality care,\u201d he adds. <\/span><\/p>\n<h3 data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">An Essential Mission for Regional Patients<\/h3>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">On April 1, 2022, Airmedic deployed a <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Pilatus_PC-12\">Pilatus PC-12<\/a> aircraft. This aircraft includes an advanced medical configuration. Indeed, it provides medical transfers five days a week to tertiary centers in the province. Afterward, patients return to their region to complete their care episode.<\/p>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">Therefore, this air medical service ensures better access to continuous care. It also reduces treatment delays. Through this project, Airmedic demonstrates its commitment to efficient and compassionate aeromedical operations.<\/p>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">Driven by a shared goal, Airmedic and \u00c9VAQ aim to ensure air medical transport for all Quebec residents.
