Forest fires are on the increase, both in frequency and intensity. Every year in Quebec, thousands of hectares of forest are ravaged, endangering wildlife, flora and essential infrastructure. Remote communities, particularly those in the north of the province, find themselves particularly vulnerable, due to limited access to emergency services and sometimes impassable communication routes. Aeromedical evacuation sometimes becomes the only option for supporting communities. <\/p>\n\n
