This small improvised stove not only allows you to cook your meals, but also to keep warm during a trip in nature.    <\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"892\" data-end=\"930\">Why make a mini stove?<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"932\" data-end=\"1272\">When you go on an expedition where the weight of your equipment is not an issue, building a small portable heating system can be a real asset. It provides a constant, safe, and economical source of heat. This way, you avoid relying solely on campfires or more complex camping stoves.  <\/p>\n<p>Airmedic has found a simple, economical, and effective model that you can test on your next outdoor outing. Plus, it only takes a few minutes to make a makeshift stove, and once it&#8217;s done, all it takes is a small spark to keep it burning for hours. <\/p>\n<h3>Required materials<\/h3>\n<p>To assemble a makeshift stove, you will need a few easy-to-find items:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A metal container with a lid that can hold a roll of toilet paper (e.g., a 500 g metal coffee can);<\/li>\n<li>A roll of toilet paper;<\/li>\n<li>Rubbing alcohol, fondue fuel, or methyl hydrate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Steps to follow:<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li data-start=\"1679\" data-end=\"1758\">\n<p data-start=\"1682\" data-end=\"1758\">Carefully remove the cardboard tube from the center of the toilet paper roll.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1759\" data-end=\"1806\">\n<p data-start=\"1762\" data-end=\"1806\">Insert the roll into the metal can.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1807\" data-end=\"1889\">\n<p data-start=\"1810\" data-end=\"1889\">If the paper does not touch the edge, add a little more to the bottom of the can.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1890\" data-end=\"1982\">\n<p data-start=\"1893\" data-end=\"1982\">Soak everything in your homemade fuel (alcohol or fuel) until saturated.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>That&#8217;s it! You have just made a makeshift stove that can burn for several hours with a single spark. <\/p>\n<h3>Safety tips<\/h3>\n<p>When using it, light it carefully so as not to burn yourself. It is therefore recommended that you place it on a flat surface to avoid accidentally knocking it over while it is lit. If you are using it in a shelter, make sure you always leave an opening to allow air to circulate.
