Emergency Air Medical Transport: Airmedic Stays Québec-Owned
LÉVIS, November 13, 2023 – Dessercom has completed the acquisition of Airmedic, a leader in emergency air medical transport, ensuring the company remains under Québec ownership. Indeed, this $54 million transaction will secure Airmedic’s long-term sustainability while supporting its continued growth.
This transaction was made possible through the financial support of Mouvement Desjardins and Investissement Québec.
Serving All of Québec, at All Times
Airmedic remains the only private company providing emergency medical assistance and air transport services adapted to all critical situations. Since its founding in 2012, Airmedic crews have completed more than 8,400 medical evacuations across Québec.
Healthcare organizations, mining and forestry companies, and individuals living in remote regions, particularly First Nations communities, will continue to benefit from the expertise of 150 employees and the existing management team. Airmedic will maintain its operations as an independent entity based at its Saint-Hubert headquarters.
