An essential partnership for youth: Airmedic and the Sur la Pointe des Pieds Foundation
At the Sur la Pointe des Pieds Foundation, we proudly work every day to change the lives of young people affected by cancer. Indeed, our achievements are made possible thanks to the valuable support of our long-standing partner, Airmedic. This company is deeply committed to our mission and to the well-being of the young people we serve.
Airmedic ensures the safety of all participants and volunteers during our therapeutic adventure expeditions, both in winter and summer. It is a privilege to organize these expeditions and provide a secure environment for participants and medical volunteers alike.
Together, we help shape the future of these young people who have their whole lives ahead of them.

Sur la Pointe des Pieds Foundation
The foundation gives young people with cancer the gift of exceptional therapeutic adventure expeditions. These expeditions are led by health professionals and experts in nature- and adventure-based interventions. Our goal is to give young people the chance to leave the hospital setting. They can step away from civilization and their usual environment. In doing so, we create a situation aimed at rebuilding self-esteem and restoring hope in life through the challenge and personal growth that these therapeutic expeditions allow. Conventional medical treatments can certainly heal the body. Therapeutic adventure, on the other hand, helps to heal the soul, the heart, and the mind.

United we stand
We provide 7,500 hours of free intervention to young people with cancer. These programs help them change their story. They also become aware of their strengths, and reconnect with their dreams. In addition, the Sur la Pointe des Pieds Foundation offers:
- 2 Major Expeditions of 7 to 10 days for young people in remission aged 14 to 18 and 19 to 29;
- 2 Escape Expeditions of 3 to 4 days for young people in treatment and in remission aged 14 to 18 and 19 to 29.
To keep our promise, we provide all necessary equipment and transportation for therapeutic adventure expeditions. Every year, we hold the CRYO Races and the Double Challenge of the Two Marios. These two fundraising events take place on Lake St-Jean in winter. The donations collected finance our expeditions offered free of charge to young people affected by cancer.
We rely on our permanent staff team to organize the therapeutic adventure expeditions. We mobilize more than 200 partners from the Canadian healthcare network to recruit young people affected by cancer to take part in our expeditions, and we collaborate with several hundred volunteers who generously give us their time and support for all our annual activities.

Sleep soundly
We can sleep soundly: Airmedic graciously provides insurance coverage to our entire team of permanent employees. In concrete terms, this allows us to work in nature with peace of mind and also to enjoy our passion for the outdoors in our personal lives without worries.
All participants in our fundraising sporting events can also contribute to our mission with peace of mind: runners, walkers, cyclists, and cross-country skiers who gather on Lake St-Jean in winter can face it with the assurance that Airmedic is there to ensure their safety. For us, this support is priceless.
We are proud of this partnership that ensures the safety of us all: our team members as well as the hundreds of people who contribute to the accomplishment of our mission.
See beyond the horizon. Together.
