St-Hubert, December 15, 2025 — For a fifth consecutive year, Airmedic organized its annual collection drive of food, toys, and clothing to support the St-Hubert community. In support of this initiative, Dessercom donated a total of $4,500 to three local organizations: Moisson Rive-Sud, La Joujouthèque, and, for the first time, Provisions communautaires.
The event was held in the presence of Ian Lafrenière, Minister Responsible for Relations with First Nations and Inuit, Minister of Public Security, and Member of the National Assembly for the Vachon riding, as well as Sylvain Lambert, Deputy Mayor and City Councillor for the Vieux-Saint-Hubert–La Savane district.
Each month, Moisson Rive-Sud provides assistance to 103,628 people, 40% of whom are children. This increase of more than 15% compared to 2024 highlights a troubling reality: food insecurity now affects a broad segment of the population, including families, seniors, and individuals living alone.
In 2025, a total of 332,222 requests for food assistance were met by Moisson Rive-Sud through a network of 152 responding community organizations. This situation underscores the urgent need to strengthen available resources to meet a large and growing demand—not only for food, but also for essential goods such as clothing.

“For Dessercom, this contribution is rooted in a deep commitment to supporting the Saint-Hubert community, where Airmedic established its roots in 2012. Through this financial and material support, the company aims to assist key local organizations and provide tangible support to families in vulnerable situations.”
“At Dessercom, giving back to the community has been part of our identity for more than 55 years. Supporting organizations such as Moisson Rive-Sud, La Joujouthèque, and Provisions communautaires means taking concrete action for families going through difficult times. We are proud to support these organizations that, day after day, ensure that no one is left behind. We encourage the entire population to do the same,’ said Maxime Laviolette, President and Chief Executive Officer of Dessercom and Interim CEO of Airmedic.”
“At Airmedic, we believe that the health and well-being of communities begin long before medical care. By renewing this initiative each year, we help ease the burden on families and strengthen the social fabric of Saint-Hubert,’ said Ève Laniel, Vice President, Talent, Operations and Culture, Airmedic. ‘Every donation counts toward building a united community, and we are proud to be able to rely year after year on the generosity of Airmedic employees.”
“‘I feel immense pride in seeing a company from Vachon renew this project in partnership with community organizations. Initiatives like this, especially when they support such a meaningful cause, demonstrate the strength and solidarity of our community,’ said Ian Lafrenière, Minister Responsible for Relations with First Nations and Inuit, Minister of Public Security, and Member of the National Assembly for the Vachon riding.”
“‘During this season of celebration and festivities, we hope that everyone can experience these moments under the best possible conditions. I would like to commend the initiative led by Airmedic and Dessercom, which will help make the holiday season brighter for many families in need. Thank you to everyone who contributed—your generosity makes a meaningful difference,’ added Sylvain Lambert, Deputy Mayor and City Councillor for the Vieux-Saint-Hubert–La Savane district.
The event was also marked by the presence of Les Cuisiniers Différents, whose mission is to promote the social and professional integration of individuals with differences—particularly young adults with intellectual disabilities—by focusing on their personal development and empowerment. By preparing a festive meal during the presentation of donated food and gifts, Les Cuisiniers Différents served as a reminder that solidarity is also built around the table.
