Airmedic is proud to introduce Caroline Coté, a highly talented adventure filmmaker. On April 4, she embarked on a great adventure. She is traveling 2,000 km, from Natashquan to Montreal, alone.
Since we will be monitoring Caroline Coté’s safety throughout her journey, we will have the opportunity to be in the front row and share her adventures with you. Follow us on Facebook to be in the front row of her adventure. We asked her a few questions before she left. This will give you a glimpse of her sparkling personality.
When did you decide that adventure would be your way of life?
The day my sister decided to become an artist, I asked myself why, if she dared to live her passion, I wouldn’t dare to live mine: adventure and video.
Why this new challenge?
First of all, I wanted to push my limits; traveling alone is different from anything I’ve done before. During this adventure, I won’t be able to rely on anyone but myself. Besides, I know this experience will help me grow. Second, I hope to inspire people to get outside. Quebec is beautiful. So why travel elsewhere? I would like to encourage as many people as possible to get out of the city.
What do you always carry with you in your backpack?
A necklace with a wolf that represents leadership, several “gri-gri” amulets made by women from different nations around the world.
What is your best experience ever?
The one I will experience tomorrow, in the future, and that I don’t know yet. In reality, I find that preparing and organizing an expedition are the most memorable stages. Sometimes it involves a lot of stress and apprehension, but in hindsight, that’s what I remember most. However, I loved participating in the Pull Of The North expedition and crossing Alaska with Ian Finch, Jay Kolsch, and Martin Trahan. We went to meet the people of La Rivières, in search of our roots.
